What is Bile Duct Stones ?

Bile Duct Stones, also known as choledocholithiasis, are basically gallstones present in the bile duct. These stones can form in bile duct or at gallbladder, then migrate into the bile duct.

What are the symptoms of Bile Duct Stones?

Mostly asymptomatic


Blockage causes following symptoms:

  • Irregular severe abdominal pain can occur which can last for hours
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Fever
  • Jaundice
